Interior panels here means the smaller flat panels that close off specific openings: console side panels, seat back panels, instrument panel lower panels and the access covers that hide wiring and modules.

Buying guide: Interior Panels

They differ from the larger trim panels in that they are usually a single flat moulding with a locating tab at each edge.

These panels are removed during almost every interior repair, so broken tabs are common. They also warp when a leak lets water into the footwell, and they discolour where a heater outlet blows directly onto them. A panel that no longer clips in place will rattle continuously, which is why replacing it is often the cheapest fix for an annoying noise.

Match by position and by option content. A lower instrument panel for a vehicle with a footwell lamp has a different cut-out from one without, and a seat back panel changes with the map pocket. Colour from the trim code. Confirm the mounting tab layout in the listing photo before ordering.
