Buying guide: Interior Hardware

Individually these parts are inexpensive, but a missing clip or a broken bracket is what makes a trim panel rattle or fall down.

This is also the most frequently mis-ordered group, because the same bracket shape can be used in several positions with different part numbers. Buyers usually arrive here after a repair has been reassembled and something does not sit right, or after a trim panel has come loose because the original clips were not replaced.

Order by position and by part number wherever the old part still carries a label. Where the label is gone, the listing photographs of the mounting points and the overall dimensions are the next best check. Plastic clips in particular are single-use items: they deform when removed and will not hold a panel again, which is why a repair kit normally includes new ones.
