Many are supplied as a complete assembly with the lid and the latch, and some as the tray only.
The failures are practical rather than dramatic. A lid hinge cracks, a latch will not stay shut, a pocket sags away from the door trim because the elastic has gone, or a tray has been cut to fit an aftermarket device. On vehicles used commercially, the under-seat storage is often broken by load impact.
Match by position and by console configuration. A tray for a console with a sliding armrest is different from one without, and a door pocket is specific to the door trim level. Photographs of the mounting points are the reliable comparison. Where the compartment is part of a larger console assembly, check whether the listing is for the insert or the whole unit.
