Complete seats are normally ordered after a collision, after rodent or water damage has ruined the frame and wiring, or to upgrade a base trim vehicle. Because a complete seat includes the track, the motors, the wiring and often the occupant sensor, the configuration has to match: a power seat will not plug into a manual seat harness, and a heated seat needs the corresponding control module.
Freight is the practical constraint. A complete seat is bulky and heavy, so it ships by freight carrier with a scheduled delivery rather than in a parcel. Give us the VIN and the seat position when ordering, and confirm whether the original seat is power or manual, heated or not, and whether it has a memory function.
