These parts are almost always colour-specific factory mouldings, and they are the first thing a buyer notices when a repair has been done with the wrong shade.
Most trim parts are replaced after an accident repair, after an audio or alarm installation has left cut-outs and holes, or because a mounting tab has cracked and the panel now rattles. Water leaks around the rear window or the sunroof are another common cause: the headliner stains and the package tray trim warps, and both have to be replaced rather than cleaned.
Order by trim code, not by colour name. A grey from one model year is not the grey of another, and the same nameplate can carry three different interior colours in a single year. Where a panel has a speaker grille, a tweeter aperture or a switch cut-out, that configuration is part of the part number and must be matched exactly.
